Think of the 2013 Alpina Lite Terrain Skis as the steroid free cousin of the very aggressive Alpina X Terrain skis. While sporting an all new retro cool look, the ski itself is made from the finest, premier grade materials. The Alpina Lite Terrain offers many similar features but is longer and slightly narrower with dimensions of 102-64-87mm translating into a much more all-around backcountry ski that isn't narrowly focused on endless laps of telemark turns up and down a favorite hidden powder stash. Instead the Alpina Lite Terrain sees the bigger picture and delivers performance in all kinds of back country adventures. Slightly longer length means very straight tracking on the flat to rolling terrain, yet turns quickly and confidently on the hard earned downhill treasures. Full metal edges for superior control and Posi-Grip no-wax base for slip-free climbing. Virtually maintenance free, we recommend simply applying a quick coat of liquid glide wax before each outing, such as Swix Easy Glide (see accessories below), to improve ski glide and prevent snow from sticking to ski bases.
