Highly versatile 2012 backcountry ski touring package for all types of terrain and conditions. Your primary focus is on downhill turns in fresh powder but you understand that kicking and gliding on packed surfaces to get to the fresh powder is par for the course. Skis have a lively camber that falls in between nordic skis and telemark skis, have full metal edges and a waxless ski base to handle all conditions and vertical. 3-pin 75mm bindings with heel stabilizing cable and stiff boots to power through deep snow and carve telemark turns.
Madshus Epoch backcountry skis w/ full metal edges
The 2012 Madshus Epoch skis (formerly Karhu XCD 10th Mountain) are a wide platform waxless backcountry ski for great flotation on deep soft snow and fresh powder and includes slightly stiffer camber for more versatility in varying snow conditions to retain responsive downhill performance and touring efficiency. Executes dynamic telemark turns on the way down. Full metal edges and solid grip for control when breaking trail and climbing. sidecut (width of skis): 99mm tip - 68mm waist - 84mm tail / Available in 165cm, 175cm, 185cm and 195cm sizes.

The 2012 Voile HardWire 3-Pin telemark touring bindings uniquely combine tradition with state-of-the-art new technology. For any backcountry telemark skiers seeking a highly versatile "do-it-all" binding that performs as flawlessly when climbing or breaking trail etc., as they do when turning the skis downhill. Available in Short Rod (fits 23 - 26.5 Mondo boot) and Standard Rod (fits 27 - 31 Mondo boots) sizes.

Fischer BCX 675 Backcountry Ski Boots
The 2012 Fischer BCX675 ski boots are true high-performance backcountry touring boots, where warmth and lightweight comfort for kick & glide touring is as critical as heavy duty support for thrilling downhill control. Delivers flawless performance all day & every day in varying terrain and snow conditions. Plenty of support to confidently crank out lap after lap of sweet telemark turns. Whereas a full plastic boot can be too heavy and stiff for touring long distances, and a full leather boot can fall short of offering enough support for telemark turns in deep snow and extreme conditions, the hybrid design of the BCX 675 is the perfect blend of the two. Unisex design. Compatible with any 75mm backcountry-telemark nordic ski bindings.
