The 2012 Black Diamond Icon Headlamp represents the pinnacle in technological and energy efficiency innovation. 3 AA batteries included with the Black Diamond Icon headlight. Optionally available (and considered a must have by the ORS Cross Country Skis Direct staff) is the Black Diamond Icon NRG rechargeable battery kit (not included; see accesories below) - the first of its kind in the headlamp industry, the Icon NRG is a rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride battery kit that delivers simple, one-step wall-charging (just like mobile cell phones). The optional Icon NRG rechargeable battery kit is the perfect solution for saving money on batteries and is environmentally friendly too! Plus, when recharging is not convenient you can always use three AA batteries (included).
The Black Diamond Icon headlamp is the brightest headlmap available. The perfect companion for any nighttime back country adventures including skiing, snowshoeing, climbing and for running, biking and hiking during the warm weather months. The Black Daimond Icon head lamp features a 3-watt LED spotlight with 4 SuperBright LEDs for a brilliant range of lighting no matter what conditions or terrain encountered. Single Positron switch activates 7 different settings and 2 modes. The convenient battery-power meter uses 3 indicator lights: green (50% or more), yellow (20% or more) and red (less than 20%) so you'll never be left guessing how much power you have left. Black Diamond Icon headlight is fully stormproof and can handle all the worst weather nightmares Mother Nature can throw at it.
