The thoroughly redesigned 2012 Black Diamond Spot Headlamp packs a powerful list of features in a lightweight, streamlined design. Includes 3 AAA batteries. Incredibly versatile, optimizing a blend of focused and peripheral light. The Black Diamond Spot headlamp offers a spectrum of modes to handle all conditions and terrain encountered while skiing, snowshoeing, climbing, hiking and running at night. Also ideal for close proximity lighting for setting up camp, campstove cooking, reading etc. The one DoublePower LED throws a far-reaching, distance beam. When close-range lighting is all that's needed however, switch modes on the fly and instead use the 2 SinglePower LEDs (even includes red night vision for close proximity and maximum battery power efficiency).
A single switch on top, which is very easy to use even with gloves or mittens on, provides a choice of multiple lighting level modes - distance lighting, close proximity, strobe, red light and fully adjustable dimming mode for customizing the exact light output needed. The three-level power meter shows remaining battery life for 3 seconds after switching on headlamp. The Black Diamond Spot headlight is fully stormproof and equipped to handle everything in Mother Nature's worst weather bag of tricks.
