The 2012 Fischer SC SkateCut NIS skate skis deliver world cup level skate ski technology at an entry-level price, making them the perfect choice for a wide range of athletic, performance oriented nordic skate skiers. The Fischer SC SkateCut skating skis are ideal for beginners learning the skate technique for the first time, more advanced recreational skate skiers looking to improve their game, as well as those racing competitively for fun and fitness. The Fischer SC Skatecut NIS skate skis feature the same World Cup sidecut found on Fischer Skis top level skating skis, and they come factory tuned for optimum gliding performance in all snow conditions with the proprietary Fischer Skis Speed Grinding universal stone grind finish. The ski base is reinforced with advanced Power Edge technology, which effectively reduces edge wear for a much longer service life. And homogeneous pressure distribution ensures uniform wax wear. The Air Tec Basalite core uses lightweight wood and volcanic basalt fibers with air channels to reduce weight for a lively feeling ski with plenty of zip. The Fischer SC Skatecut skis also feature an integrated NIS plate, for the best possible interface between binding and ski.
With a stable platform for great balance and stability, as well as a lightweight core for reduced leg muscle fatigue, these nordic skate skis are a great choice for general cross training, recreational racing and beginner skate skiers seeking to balance stability, weight, performance and their checkbook. The Speed Grinding universal stone grind finish allows you to optionally, but not required, iron on the perfect wax for any snow type and temperature. These Fischer skate cross country skis feature the Nordic Integrated System (NIS) which factory bonds the NIS Plate to the skis, allowing you to then snap on the Rottefella NIS Exercise skate bindings (sold separately) or Rottefella X-celerator NIS skate bindings (sold separately). The NIS ski & binding system results in maximum stability and ski control during all phases of the skate stride. Ski bindings are then compatible with any NNN style skate ski boots.
