The 2012 Fischer Spider 62 Skis are the marquee performer of the Fischer Skis out-of-track cruising series of very lightweight, mid-length all-around backcountry touring skis. The Spider 62 are the perfect do-it-all, intermediate level, waxless skis for exploring the back yard, heading down a snowmobile trail, or hitting up the local touring center when you need to satisy your need for a fast kick and glide session. Excelling off-trail, the Fischer Spider 62 features a compact length that increases stability when floating in deeper snow as well as maneuverability when navigating tight trees.
The Fischer Spider 62 skis include full-length metal edges and the new, proprietary Fischer Skis Offtrack Crown waxless pattern, a positive scale pattern that offers excellent kick on flat and rolling terrain and unmatched grip on traverses and steep uphill climbs. Highly durable Sintec base on the glide portion of the ski can even accept hotwax for superior glide if desired (However, we recommend simply applying a quick coat of liquid glide wax before each outing, such as Swix Easy Glide - see accessories below - to improve ski glide and prevent snow from sticking to ski bases.) Nordic Rocker Technology encorporates a slightly open ski tip to improve glide and turning in deeper snow. Lightweight Air Channel wood core has a snappy feel for a lively kick. These maintenance free, waxless skis are packed with technology and is suited for skiers who are seeking a performance ski with as much glide as it has grip.

The Fischer Spider 62 cross country skis are compatible with any NNN, SNS or 75mm-3pin backcountry binding systems.
