The high-performance 2011 G3 Alpinist skins are premium quality climbing skins for backcountry touring skis, AT-telemark skis etc. The G3 Alpinist ski skins are time tested and have been used in every condition imaginable. They are extremely lightweight and supple, offering the best combination of climbing performance on the up hills and fast glide on the down hills and flats making them ideal for hut to hut trips, backcountry tours and laps up and down the perfect powder coated downhill you discovered!

To resist snow from clumping and clinging to the skin fabric, the G3 Alpinist climbing skins are given an advanced waterproofing treatment. G3's proprietary glue is non-toxic and solvent free and works equally well in extreme midwinter cold and balmy spring temperatures. Includes the all-new proprietary G3 Tip Connection System. The tail strap is laminated directly into the skin and has multiple tail clip positions allowing for 10cm of adjustment so the skins can be used on multiple skis with differing lengths. The G3 Alpinist skins come with a durable storage bag, G3 skins cutting tool, G3 skin savers and easy to follow instructions.

ORDERING THE CORRECT SKINS:
These skins are available in a variety of pre-cut lengths. The skin length is listed with the minimum and maximum length ski it will work on (the adjustable tail clip allows for 10cm of adjustment). Select the skin width based on the width of your ski at the tip. Simply determine the width of your ski (in millimeters), measuring the widest point at the top of your skis (if ordering new skis from our website, look for the ski's sidecut dimensions & refer to the first number). Then select the skins width that is closest to the ski tip width but still less than the width of the ski tip. Example: if your ski's dimensions are 88mm tip - 60mm waist - 78mm tail, you would use the 85mm width G3 Alpinist Climbing skins. Attach the skin then trim to fit the sidecut and waist of the skis. Comes with easy-to-follow instructions & trimming tool. Also includes handy storage bag and skin saver sheets to prevent climbing skins from sticking together when stored.
