PLEASE NOTE: K2 Sports, owner of both Madshus Skis & Karhu Skis, has discontinued the Karhu XCD product line and is now producing them as Madshus backcountry skis. The former Karhu XCD GT skis are now the Madshus Eon skis. Only the branding and artwork are new, otherwise they are exactly the same.
The newly redesigned 2010 Karhu XCD GT Backcountry Skis represent the ultimate in a true blending of cross country and telemark ski design, ideal for backcountry touring performance on the climb up and the run down. Backcountry touring skis with full metal edges to provide the security to manuever in slick conditions and making solid and confident turns. The Karhu XCD GT is narrow enough to feel like a nordic ski but combines a balanced flex and sidecut for carving beautiful turns through wooded glades, logging trails and of course open powder fields. These waxless skis feature Karhu's proprietary Omnitrak No Wax base, ensuring great grip and glide performance in all snow types and conditions. Accessing remote and faraway winter pockets of paradise has never been easier. Virtually maintenance free, we recommend simply applying a quick coat of liquid glide wax before each outing, such as Swix Easy Glide (see accessories below), to improve ski glide and prevent snow from sticking to ski bases.

The Karhu GT backcountry / telemark skis are compatible with any NNN, SNS or 75mm-3pin/telemark binding systems etc.
