These 2011 Rossignol BC125 skis are the first generation BC 125 skis and came in just one size (165cm) and two flexes (hard and soft). The idea was that the short length would make the ski easy to maneuver in tight situations for skiers of all heights, while the two flex options would accommodate different skiers weights. For 2012 the current Rossignol BC125 skis are available in three sizes (165cm, 175cm, 185cm) and in one soft flex.
These 2011 Rossignol BC125 skis are 165cm long and feature the harder of the two flexes, making them ideal for all skiers 160 lbs and up. The beauty of this single shorter size with a hard flex is that the ski is stiff enough to support big skiers but is short enough for easy maneuverability in tight conditions.
The Rossignol BC125 skis are targeted specifically for those backcountry touring-telemark skiers seeking a versatile, fat and rugged, out-of-bounds telemark, backcountry touring ski designed for the steepest and deepest terrain you can you can sink your full length metal edges into. With a generous 123mm-95mm-120mm sidecut, they deliver optimal flotation.
Full length metal edges and a hard flex (ideal for anyone 160 lbs and over) with single camber for executing flawless, natural downhill telemark turns. The waxless AR Positrack base pattern bites into the snow for exceptional grip on the climbs, enabling you to ascend moderately steep slopes without the hassle of climbing skins (for steepest pitches, however, we do highly recommend climbing skins). Delivers great kick and glide on flat and rolling terrain. Rossignol BC125 features an air channel wood core that lightens the ski for easier maneuverability in tight situations and less than ideal conditions. The cap construction increases the durability while delivering a smooth, consistent flex. Combine with 75mm 3-pin bindings and stiff all-mountain backcountry ski boots for outstanding all-mountain performance and sweet telemark turns on the way down. Virtually maintenance free, we recommend simply applying a quick coat of liquid glide wax before each outing, such as Swix Easy Glide (see accessories below), to improve ski glide and prevent snow from sticking to ski bases.
