The 2012 Rossignol Evo Glade NIS Skis are the perfect choice for getting started and enjoying the fun experience of nordic skiing. The Evo Glade features a compact length and wide platform to offer unsurpassed stability and control for beginners learning to shuffle, while the exclusive Rossignol Skis technology ensures the skis will perform well as the user progresses to a true kick and glide classic technique. The virtually maintenance free waxless base with recessed gripping teeth combines reliable kick on just about any snow type without impeding a smooth glide. Additionally, because the Rossignol Glade NIS nordic touring skis are both compact and wide they are very stable, float well on top of snow and are maneuverable, making them suitable for exploring off-track and punching through untracked snow in the woods, snow-covered frozen lakes and fields.
The durable wood / air core keeps these cross country skis very light, while the quiet waxless ski base makes maintenance simple with very little upkeep required. We recommend simply applying a quick coat of liquid glide wax before each outing, such as Swix Easy Glide (see accessories below), to improve ski glide and prevent snow from sticking to ski bases.

The Rossignol Evo Glade cross country skis feature the Nordic Integrated System (NIS) which factory bonds the NIS Plate to the skis. Any NIS compatible ski bindings then slide onto the NIS plate resulting in maximum stability and ski control when classic kick-and-glide striding, turning, climbing hills and descending. We highly recommend the Rottefella NIS T4 NNN ski bindings (sold separately) for use with the NIS system on these skis.
