The amazing 2013 Scarpa T4 Backcountry-Telemark Ski Boots combine the lightweight, softer forward flex of a nimble 75mm backcountry touring boot with the lateral support and power transfer of a burly telemark boot, making the Scarpa T4 ski boots the ideal, all-around choice for backcountry touring and telemark skiing. The 100% Pebax outershell features an integrated torsion beam designed to minimize lateral flex and direct as much energy to the ski as possible for maximum downhill control. These elements mean you’ll be able to drive the ski through deep powder with ease for solid telemark turns and you’ll be able to navigate steep descents with confidence. No more flailing!
And when it comes to backcountry touring mode, the Scarpa T4 features a low shell height and two buckle design that keeps the weight down to a minimum, while the ergonomic bellows feature a soft flex for a more natural feel, resulting in an extremely comfortable boot for kicking and gliding from dawn to dusk across valley floors, or wherever you may encounter flat, rolling terrain. The downhill vs touring function locks or releases the upper cuff, giving you the option to lock the upper cuff for more downhill control or to release it, allowing the cuff to pivot forward and backward for optimal backcountry ski touring comfort. Don’t be intimidated by a plastic boot! The Scarpa T4 75mm 3-pin ski boots combine warmth and waterproof protection, lightweight and all day comfort, and most importantly they deliver the lateral support needed to drive wider, metal edged skis through steeps and deeps.
