The Swix Rectangular Brushes for Tuning Cross Country Skis include: T0179B Steel Brush, T0158B Coarse Bronze Brush, T0191B Fine Steel Brush, T0162B Medium Bronze Brush and T0160B Blue Nylon Brush. All are ski tuning brushes that aid in various stages of nordic ski waxing and and nordic ski base preparation. These cross country ski tuning brushes are long lasting and efficient.

BRUSHES USED BEFORE WAXING
T179 T0179B Steel Brush has steel bristles and should be used periodically when you want to restructure your ski bases by giving it a fresh surface to better absorb wax. Six strokes in one direction from ski tail to tip is suggested. Also used as first brush on wax after scraping, 5-6 strokes. Excellent high quality steel brush that is used universally on the World Cup circuit.
T158 T0158B Coarse Bronze Brush features course bronze bristles and have a row of softer nylon bristles around the outside edge as 'sweepers' for wax particles. Used always before each waxing. Ten strokes in one direction from ski tail to tip is suggested.
T191 T0191B Fine Steel Brush used before waxing to clean out your base structure. Cleans dep into the structure before waxing. Makes ski bases absorb more wax. 5 - 6 strokes. Also because of the fine nature of the bristles, can be used after waxing to smooth and buff. Three to four strokes in one direction from tip to tail is suggested.
BRUSHES USED AFTER SCRAPING
T162 T0162B Medium Bronze Brush is the brush to use on your nordic skis as the first brush you use after scraping your skis. 10 strokes with this brush in one direction from tip to tail after scraping is suggested.
T160 T0160B Blue Nylon Brush is a superb polishing brush for all waxes that have been scraped from ski base. 5 to 10 strokes with this brush in one direction from tip to tail after scraping is suggested.
