The all-new 2012 Voile SwitchBack X2 Bindings represent the latest evolution of the original, legendary Voile Switchback backcountry touring-telemark bindings. Optimized for maximum power transfer, the Switchback X2 is beefed up with 25% stiffer cartridge springs, a 3cm longer toe plate and a repositioned hardwire pivot point (moved back 26mm), all resulting in a more active and more powerful telemark-backcountry skiing binding for uncompromised downhill performance.
With dual-height climbing heel elevators for varying steepness and using the same free-pivoting design and reliable icing-free latching mechanism as the regular Switchback, the Switchback X2 ski bindings enable resistance-free uphill touring so you can conserve as much energy as possible for when it comes time to make delicously sweet telemark turns on the down. Weighing in at only 3.2 lbs/pair, the Switchback X2 is still the lightest telemark touring binding available on the market today and is considered by many to be the best all around backcountry binding bar none!
