The 2012 Wilderness Engineering BaseCamp Ski Pulk-Gear Sled is the ultimate gear sherpa for the winter backcountry. Easily and securely stow everything in the Base Camp mountaineering sled-ski pulk for efficiently pulling all essentials needed for any skiing or snowshoeing backcountry expedition, whether taking on extreme terrain in Denali, trekking across the icy poles or just bringing along the entire family's gear and picnic lunch for an afternoon in the snowy woods. The Wilderness Engineering BaseCamp includes everything needed for a multi-purpose ski pulk-gear sled -- huge 11,000 cu./in., ultra-rugged 1,000 denier Dupont Cordura nylon duffel bag built to withstand all extreme winter conditions, strong chromoly poles and padded, fully-adjustable waistbelt harness to fit all sizes of users. Allows for full range of motion, unimpeded snowshoe striding and skiing, whether nordic skate skiing, classic kick & glide skiing, ascending with climbing skins or telemark and downhill skiing on the descents.
Ultra-lightweight design and the duffle bag securely attaches, via advanced 2-buckle design, to the sled while pulling the sled when skiing, snowshoeing etc. Quickly detaches from sled as well, and the pair of integrated wide straps on the duffel bag allow the entire sled and duffle bag system to be carried as a backpack when needed.
